THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.44160 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to return the seized property to the petitioners in connection with Crime No.297 of 2014.

Today, when the matter is taken up for admission, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submitted that the seized articles/property in connection with Crime No.297 of 2014 have already been deposited in the bank in fixed deposit. In view of the above, no orders are need to be passed in this writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
