ORDER

This writ petition was filed challenging the notification dated 7.1.2016 issued by the 3rd respondent prohibiting manufacture, sale and distribution of chap tobacco, pure tobacco, khaini karra, scented tobacco and flavoured tobacco, for a period of one year. Since the period of one year indicated in the notification had expired, nothing survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, it is open to the petitioner to challenge the fresh notification as and when issued.
