HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.18833 of 2016 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Pleader for Home and with the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is disposed of, at the admission stage.

This writ petition is filed seeking issuance of Mandamus declaring the high-handed action of the 3rd respondent in calling the petitioner to the Police Station and threatening her to arrest without any cause or reason, as arbitrary, illegal and violative of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently sought a direction to the 3rd respondent not to interfere with the petitioner and her family members.

The petitioner is residing with her husband in Molagamudi Village, Renigunta Mandal, Chittoor District. There are some property disputes between the petitioner and her relatives with regard to the property situated at Gajulamanyam, which was left behind by her deceased father in her favour. At the instance of her relatives, who are inimical towards her, the Constables of the 3rd respondent Police Station are visiting the house of the petitioner and harassing her by threatening her to report to the Police Station without there being any crime registered

against her and without any reason. Hence, the present writ petition.

The learned Government Pleader for Home opposed the same stating that the allegations made by the petitioner are all false.

In view of the above facts and circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 3rd respondent not to harass the petitioner by summoning her or her family members to the Police Station, except in accordance with law. No order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
