The grievance of the petitioners was that the police authorities were interfering in their civil disputes with the 4th respondent and calling them to the police station unnecessarily. By order dated 19.10.2012, this Court directed the police authorities not to call the petitioners to the police station unless warranted and if so, in accordance with law.

No counter-affidavit has been filed in this matter though nearly three years have elapsed since its institution. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is closed directing the police authorities not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners except in accordance with the due procedure laid down by law, if warranted.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
