ORDER:

Heard.

2. The present writ petition is filed by the petitioners alleging that though there is no crime registered against them, respondent No.2 police is calling them to the police station and harassing them.

3. Instructions of the learned Government Pleader, however, show that on the complaint of respondent No.3 dated 04.01.2014, a case in Cr.No.4 of 2015 is registered against petitioners 1 and 2 for the offence under Section 498A IPC r/w section 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act

before Chandanagar Police Station on 04.01.2015 and the investigation is pending.

4. Since the said subsequent event shows that the crime is registered against the petitioners, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners may be granted liberty to take appropriate steps relating to the said crime and that the petitioners do not press the present writ petition. With the liberty aforesaid, the writ petition is dismissed. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
