HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A.V.SESHA SAI W .P.No.3 6 2 7 9 of 2 0 1 8 ORDER: - The present Writ Petition challenges the validity and legal sustainability of opening and continuation of the rowdy-sheet against the petitioner herein.

According to the learned Counsel for the petitioner, none of the cases registered against the petitioner herein ended in conviction. It is also the submission of the learned Counsel that the impugned action is in contravention of the Police Standing Orders 601.

A counter affidavit, deposed by the Station House Officer, P.S.Mirchowk, Hyderabad, is filed narrating about the cases registered against the petitioner and according to the said counter affidavit, the police registered as many as 7 cases so far against the petitioner. Cr.Nos.46/ 2003, 135/ 2003 and 194/ 2010 on the file of Mirchowk Police Station, ended in acquittal; Cr.No.104/ 2005 on the file of Mirchowk Police Station was quashed on 12.12.2013;

Cr.No.160/ 2005 on the file of Shalibanda Police Station, Cr.No.586/ 2008 and Cr.No.194/ 2010 on the file of Mirchowk Police Station also ended in acquittal. The only Cr.No.127/ 2018 under Section 107 Cr.P.C., dated 03.07.2018, is pending as on date.

According to the learned Counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner made a detailed representation on 28.07.2016 for deletion of his name from the rowdy-sheet and inaction on the

said representation prompted the petitioner herein to file the present Writ Petition.

Having heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition, keeping it open for the petitioner herein to file an appropriate application before the 3rd respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. If any such application is made, the same be considered and appropriate Orders be passed, strictly in accordance with the provisions of Police Standing Orders 601, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________ A.V.Sesh a Sai, J Date: 15.11.2018 smr
