HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CONTEMPT CASE No.2192 of 2016 ORDER:

This case is filed on the ground that the respondent has not followed the order dated 25.10.2016 passed by this Court in W.P.No.36023 of 2016. The grievance of the petitioner is that respondent failed to register her complaint in spite of the orders passed by this Court directing him to register a case on her complaint.

Heard and perused the material available on record. By order dated 25.10.2016 in W.P.No.36023 of 2016, this Court directed the respondent to register a case, if the complaint of the petitioner discloses any cognizable offence. While passing the said order, this Court observed in the order that if the petitioner is aggrieved by the action of the respondent, she is at liberty to approach the superior officer of the respondent and also to approach the Court concerned by invoking the provisions under Section 200 Cr.P.C.

In view of the above order, this Court is of the view that the action of the respondent in refusing to register the complaint would not amount to contempt case. Hence, the Contempt Case is closed.
