The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus, declaring the action of the 2nd respondent in not completing the enquiry initiated for grant of Occupancy Rights Certificate in favour of the petitioners in respect of the lands bearing Survey No. 112/ 90 admeasuring Ac.2-00, Survey No.112/ 97, admeasuring Ac.3-00, Survey No. 112/ 97, admeasuring Ac.3-00, Survey No. 112/ 92, admeasuring Ac.2-33 guntas and Survey No. 112/ 90, admeasuring AC.2-00 situated at Chegur Village, Nandigama Mandal, Ranga Reddy district respectively, even after issuance of notice No. K/ 128/ 2017, dated 20.07.2017 under the provisions of the A.P. (Telangana Area) Abolition of Inams Act, 1955, read with Amendment Act No. 29/ 85 and 16/ 88 and A.P. (Telangana Area) Abolition of Inams Rules, 1975, as illegal, improper and incorrect.

The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that pursuant to the notice dated 20.07.2017, the petitioners have appeared before the Tahsildar and submitted their representation, and the Tahsildar has also submitted his report to the Revenue Divisional Officer, but, inspite of the same, the Revenue Divisional Officer has not passed any orders on the said report.

Learned Government Pleader would submit that if reasonable time is given, the Revenue Divisional Officer will complete the enquiry in respect of the subj ect lands and pass appropriate orders.

Having regard to the above, the 2nd respondent-the Revenue Divisional Officer is directed to dispose of the proceedings for issuance of Occupancy Rights Certificate in respect of the lands in Survey No. 112/ 90 admeasuring Ac.2-00, Survey No.112/ 97, admeasuring Ac.3-00, Survey No. 112/ 97, admeasuring Ac.3-00, Survey No. 112/ 92, admeasuring Ac.2-33 guntas and Survey No. 112/ 90, admeasuring AC.2-00 situated at Chegur Village, Nandigama Mandal, Ranga Reddy district and pass orders in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably, within a period of three to six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
