THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.38350 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to call for the records in FIR No.594 of 2016 and to quash the same.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The case of the petitioners is that the 3rd respondent lodged the present complaint against the petitioners before the 2nd respondent alleging that the 3rd respondent married one Laxmikanth Nusavath in the year 2009 and later, the 3rd respondent was harassed physically and mentally by her husband and petitioners for want of additional dowry and did not care about her and her children. The grievance of the petitioners is that they are none other than the brother-in-law and mother-in-law of the 3rd respondent and they are nothing to do with the alleged offence since the 3rd respondent along with her husband used to reside separately right from the date of marriage. Considering the grievance of the petitioners, the 2nd respondent is directed to complete the investigation in FIR No.

594 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible and file a final report, if any, either way in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioners. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
