HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 24565 of 2016 Order:

It is the case of the petitioner that his mother worked as General Mazdoor at Godavari Khani in the 2nd inclined RG-I, vide EC No.0871524. She was a Cancer patient and she was advised to do light jobs. She retired on 30.06.2016 while taking treatment. The petitioner submitted a representation on 28.06.2016 to consider his appointment in order to look after his ailing mother. Even before completion of period of one month the present Writ Petition is filed for consideration of that representation.

2. It is clear from the facts that the mother of the petitioner who was a Cancer patient retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.06.2016. There is no provision for appointment on compassionate grounds in the case of persons retired on attaining the age of superannuation. In spite of the same, the petitioner submitted representation on 28.06.2016 and for consideration of the same, the present Writ Petition cannot be maintained.

3. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. However, this will not prevent the respondents from considering the representation on their own. There shall be no order as to costs.

4. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. ________________________ A.
