HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITON Nos 31588 of 2016 And WP.No.38724 OF 2017 COMMON ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioners is that, the respondentauthorities are not conducting elections to the 6th respondentGrampanchayat. Though counter affidavit is filed in WP.No.31588 of 2016 by respondents 3 to 5, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj submits that the 6th respondentGrampanchayat passed resolution for its merger with Samalkot Municipality, and said resolution is sent to the 1st respondent for passing orders. Learned Government Pleader says that after obtaining orders from the 1st respondent, process for elections will be initiated.

In view of the same, the 1st respondent is directed to take decision on the resolution passed and sent by 6th respondentGrampanchayat within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Thereafter, 4th respondent is directed to initiate process for conducting elections to the 6th respondent-Grampanchayat within a period of three months from the date of receiving of orders from the 1st respondent.

With the above directions, the writ petitions are disposed of. As a sequel to the disposal of these petitions, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. _________________________ A.RAJASHEKER REDDY,J 19-12-2017 Nvl
