THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.8571 OF 2015 ORDER:
This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.154 of 2015 on the file of Bhongir (R) Police Station, Nalgonda District.
2. Petitioner Nos.4 to 6/A-4 to A-6 are facing allegations for the offences punishable under Section 498-A I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
3. Heard and perused the material on record.
4. This Court granted interim stay on 1.9.2015 restraining the respondent police from arresting the petitioners and the same was extended on 14.10.2015 and 30.10.2015. Thereafter, the stay was not extended. Since learned counsel for petitioner Nos.4 to 6 submitted that in view of the pendency of the present case, petitioner Nos.4 to 6 apprehend arrest and harassment in the hands of the police and as the offences arose out of matrimonial disputes, the respondent police are directed to complete the investigation without arresting petitioner Nos.4 to 6/A-4 to A-6 and file final report in accordance with law.
5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
6. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
