HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM ELECTION PETITION No.29 OF 2014 ORDER:

Sri S.Ramachandra Rao, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner, submits that on account of the subsequent developments, particularly, in view of respondent No.1 submitting his resignation as the Member of Parliament, which was accepted, the cause in this Election Petition does not survive for adjudication. However, he would further submit that the issue with respect to the caste status of respondent No.1 shall be left open. In view of the above submission, the Election Petition is dismissed as infructuous without expressing any opinion with respect to the caste status of respondent No.1. As a sequel, the pending Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed as infructuous.
