O R D E R

Petitioner, was given admission in integrated dual degree of B.tech + M.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), during the year 2011-12 in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Andhra University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam. In this writ petition she is seeking for a direction to grant permission to allow her into 1st semester of fifty year.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. Sri K.Jyothi Prasad, learned Standing Counsel for the Andhra University, produced copy of the letter dated 10.09.2018 addressed by the Principal of the College, to the Registrar, Andhra University, visakhaptnam, wherein it is stated that the petitioner was detained in the second year due to shortage of attendance and on her request, readmission was given into 2/ 5 during the academic year 2015-16 subject to payment of re-admission fee and fee dues. Out of the outstanding amounts, she could pay some amount and subsequently, vide proceedings dated 07.07.2017, she was promoted to 3/ 6 of the academic year 2016-17. She could not attend the classes due to ill-health and was detailed in 3/ 6 of B.Tech + M.tech (Mech. Engg). On her request and recommendation of the Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering,

she was given re-admission in 3/ 6 of B.Tech + M.tech (Mech. Engg) for the academic year 2017-18, subject to payment of fee dues and re-admission fee vide proceedings dated 26.07.2017.

There is no mention of above information in the writ affidavit. From the above information furnished by the Standing Counsel for the University, it could be seen that the petitioner was given re-admission in 3/ 6 of B.Tech + M.Tech (Mech. Engg) for the academic year 2017 - 18. Now she is seeking to grant permission and allow her to 5th year of 1st semester. In view of the information furnished by the learned Standing Counsel, no relief can be granted in this writ petition. However, it is open to the petitioner to make necessary application to the competent authority and the said authority is directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner and take appropriate action in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Interlocutory applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
