Heard the counsel for petitioners, and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue, for respondents.

This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioners aggrieved by the action of 2nd respondent in refusing to receive documents presented by petitioners for the purpose of registration on the ground that the land is assigned land.

No order in writing has been passed by the 2nd respondent, though according to counsel for petitioners, orally the petitioners were informed about this fact.

In this view of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to receive the documents presented by petitioners for the purpose of registration and pass a reasoned order as to why he does not wish to register them in accordance with law and communicate the same to petitioners.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to receive the documents presented by petitioners for the purpose of registration and pass a reasoned order as to why he does not wish to register them in accordance with law and communicate the same to petitioners. No order as to costs.
