Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, Learned Government pleader for Panchayat Raj and Sri G.Seshadri, learned Standing Counsel for respondents 4 to 8. 2.

This writ Petition is filed praying to set aside the order dated 02.08.2018 appointing the Special Officers of the Gram Panchayats and not conducting elections.

When the matter is taken up, learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned Standing counsel for the Gram Panchayats, would submit that W.P.No.32346 of 2018 is disposed of by this Court today i.e., 23.10.2018 directing the State Election Commission to conduct elections in three months. However, this Court has not interfered with appointment of Special Officers. In view of the same, this Writ Petition can also be disposed of.

As it is represented that directions are already issued in the above writ petition to hold elections to the Gram Panchayats in the State within three (3) months, this Writ Petition is also disposed of requesting the State Election Commission, to take steps to hold elections to Kondapalem Gram Panchayat, N.Kothuru Gram Panchayat, Rolugunta Gram Panchayat, M.Kothapalem Gram Panchayat and Komuravolu Gram Panchayat, within three (3) months. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
