THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.5490 OF 2016 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief:

"to issue Writ, Order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not considering the petitioners as contract labourers for the VII stage of KTPS is wholly illegal, arbitrary and contrary to guidelines and law and consequently direct the respondents to consider the petitioners for appointment as Contract Labourers for VII stage of KTPS and pass such other order or orders or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

2. Heard Sri I.V.Radhakrishna Murthy, learned counsel, appearing for the petitioner and Smt.K.Udayasree, learned Standing Counsel for T.Genco.

3. During the course of hearing, it is stated that for redressal of the grievance of the petitioners herein, they submitted a representation dated 17.01.2016 to the respondents and the same has not been disposed of so far and direction may be issued to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the said representation, by fixing some timeframe. The said request is not opposed by the other side.

4. In view of the above, without going into merits of the matter, Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondents to take appropriate action on the representation dated 17.01.2016, said to have been submitted by the petitioners herein, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs. __________________ A.V.SESHA SAI, J 22.02.2016 SS
