HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Writ Petition No.42244 of 2016 O R D E R :
The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a writ or order, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of respondent Nos.2 and 3 in not providing necessary protection to the petitioners life and property from respondent Nos.4 to 7 as illegal and arbitrary and consequently declare the inaction of respondent Nos.2 & 3 in not considering the representations of petitioners dated 12-11-2016 as illegal and arbitrary. Heard and perused the material available on record. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, filed counter informing that the protection as far as the property is concerned, as and when required, they are ready to provide the security, but as far as the personal security is concerned, it is for the petitioner to approach the State Level Security Review Committee informing the grounds on which they seek for police protection and on such representation, the concerned authority will decide the issue.
Recording the submission made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
