HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 19023 of 2016 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Government Pleader for Home. With the consent of both the parties, the present writ petition being taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present Writ Petition came to filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the fourth respondent in not taking action on the F.I.R.No.143 of 2015 dated 10.09.2015, not arresting the accused and not completing the investigation in the above crime, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406, 471, 504 and 506 IPC, as illegal and arbitrary; and consequently to direct the fourth respondent to arrest the accused and complete the investigation in the above crime as early as possible.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the above crime was registered in the month of September, 2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406, 471, 504 and 506 IPC, no action has been initiated till date. Learned Government Pleader for Home submits that investigation in the above crime is in progress and the police will take appropriate steps in filing the final report, at the earliest. In view of the representation made and having regard to the nature of allegations made, the respondent-police shall proceed with the investigation in Crime No.143 of 2015 of Kalapathar

Police Station, Hyderabad City, in accordance with law and file a final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight (08) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
