HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR W.P.No.30277 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard.

The petitioner is aggrieved by the inaction of the 3rd respondent in particular in considering his application for grant of passport made as per the requisite proforma on 24-08-2015.

The petitioner states that though he has applied for passport and he was given online appointment on 26-08-2015 at 2.30 p.m., and he has appeared, merely because a case in Cr.No.64 of 2013 is registered against him, the 3rd respondent is not considering his case for grant of passport. Learned Standing Counsel submits that in terms of the provisions of the Passport Act and the Rules, appropriate orders will be passed by the 3rd respondent.

Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondents 2 and 3 to consider the petitioner's aforesaid application, take appropriate decision and pass necessary orders and communicate the same to the petitioner expeditiously preferably within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. _______________________ VILAS V.AFZULPURKAR, J Date: 20-11-2015
