THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN CONTEMPT CASE NO.352 OF 2015 ORDER:

The order of this Court in W.P.No.9194 of 2014 dated 09.04.2014 required the third respondent to consider the petitioners' case; pass a reasoned order; and communicate the same to the petitioners at the earliest, in any event not later than two months from the date of the order.

While the two month period expired on 09.06.2014, an order was passed by the respondent in Rc.No.16499/08/15 dated 23.06.2014. While the delay in passing the order is no doubt of two weeks beyond the time stipulated by this Court, I see no reason to proceed against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 as the delay is not so inordinate.

The Contempt Case is, accordingly, closed.
