This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner under Section 438 Cr.P.C. seeking to grant anticipatory bail to him in Crime No.9/2015ACB/VZM on the file of the Inspector of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Vizianagaram Range, Vizianagaram, registered for the offence punishable under Sections 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

Heard and perused the material available on record. It is alleged that on search conducted by the respondent-police, it is found that the petitioner acquired disproportionate assets to a tune of Rs.1,96,27,289/-. The property documents of the petitioner were seized. It is alleged that from the date of search, the petitioner is absconding and the respondent-police could not be able to serve notice on the accused concerned.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the nature of the allegations made against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
