The petitioner is working as Professor of Paediatrics under contract in Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Ongole. The said Institution is one of the Semi-Autonomous Institutions and the tenure of office, salaries and allowances and other conditions of service of teachers, officers and employees of the Institutes are governed by Section 38 of the Andhra Pradesh Government of Medical and Dental Institutions (Conversion into Semi-Autonomous Institution) Act, 2007. 2.

In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is not maintainable in this Court and the petitioner has to take alternative remedies. 3.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed granting liberty to the petitioner to take appropriate remedies available to him in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. 4.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
