O R D E R
The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: 'To issue writ or direction particularly in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, A). To declare the inaction of the respondents 1 to 4 in not investigating the case registered in FIR No.171 of 2014, dated 2.9.2014, on the file of the 3rd respondent and not filing report before the competent court of law, as illegal, void, arbitrary and violating the statutory provisions engrafted to Criminal Procedure Code and law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. B). Consequently, to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to investigate the case registered in FIR No.171 of 2014, dated 2.9.2014, on the file of the 3rd respondent and file report before the competent court of law and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.'
Written instructions dated 18.02.2016 were furnished by the SubInspector of Police, Anandapuram Police Station, Visakhapatnam City, to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home stating that upon the complaint made by the petitioner, Crime No.171 of 2014 was registered under Sections 406, 418 and 420 IPC read with Section 34 IPC on the file of Anandapuram Police Station. Upon completion of the investigation, the police authorities laid a charge-sheet before the learned VI Metropolitan Magistrate, Bhimunipatnam vide D.D.R.No.364/2016. A copy of the said charge-sheet is also placed on record.
In the light of the abovesated developments, the grievance of the petitioner as to the alleged inaction on the part of the police authorities stands settled.
The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed in the light of this final order. No order
as to costs.
