Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home.

With the consent of both the parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

Questioning the action of the respondents in not investigating into Crime No.49 of 2016, Chittoor Police Station, the present writ petition came to be filed.

Initially, a private complaint came to be filed under Section 200 of Cr.P.C. against the accused for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 420, 423, 424 and 425 of IPC. Subsequently, an additional copy of private complaint was filed for the offences punishable under Sections 403, 406, 418, 420, 423, 424, 425, 482, 502 and 506 of IPC. Accordingly, the said complaint was forwarded to the jurisdictional police under Section 156 (3) of Cr.P.C. and the said crime came to be registered as Crime No. 49 of 2016 of Chittoor Police Station. The grievance of the petitioner appears to be that though crime was registered on 21.05.2016, till date, the police have not initiated process of investigation. Learned Government Pleader submits that since the crime is registered only on 21.05.

2016, it may not be possible to file a final report within the time sought for by the petitioner. Having regard to the circumstances stated above and without going into merits of the case, the present writ petition is disposed of directing the Station house Officer, Chittoor Police Station, to file a final report in Crime No.

months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
