THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.37322 of 2018 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt.Anjali Agarwal, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government, apart from perusing the entire material available on record. When the matter is taken up, letters, bearing No.Hyd/ 30/POL/PCC/158/2018, dated 26.07.2018, are placed on record by the learned Standing Counsel. The said letters are extracted as under:

"To The Consulate General of India, Chicago.

Sir, Please find enclosed a complaint dated 20.07.2018 received from Ms.Kapila PhaniVenkata Lakshmi Swathi requesting to impound the passport bearing no.K8755774 of her husband Mr.Soma Raju Saladi. As the above mentioned passport number is issued by your office, you are requested to take appropriate action as deemed fit. A copy of our reply addressed to the complainant is enclosed for your perusal.

To Ms.Kapila PhaniVenkata Lakshmi Swathi, D/o.HarinadhaBabu, R/o.D.No.2-27, VangaVari Street, Near Old Bus Stand, Jangareddigudem, West Godavari.

Madam, Please refer to your letter dated 20.07.2018 requesting to impound the passport of Mr.Soma Raju Saladi.

On verification of our records, it is found that passport bearing no.K8755774 dated 16.01.2014 was issued in the name of Mr. Soma Raju Saladi by Consulate General of India, Chicago.

In this regard, your letter is being forwarded to Consulate General of India Chicago for further action and you may approach them for further correspondence along with certified copies of the Summons or Warrant or Order issued by the court and certified copy of charge sheet against him".

By placing the above letters on record, Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
