THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE U.DURGA PRASAD RAO Writ Petition No.31158 of 2016 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) Both Sri S.Krishna Murthy, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri Shaik Jeelani Basha, learned Special Standing Counsel for Commercial Taxes, would agree that, on the petitioner furnishing proof of payment of tax on the invoice value of the goods and depositing two times the tax amount as security, the subject vehicle and the goods shall be released forthwith. We make it clear that the petitioner shall be given credit for any amount already paid in this regard. The amount so paid and deposited shall be subject to the assessment to be made by the assessing authority later.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
