Petitioner complains against inaction in disposing of the stay petition filed in Rc.C.S.3 Appeal No.283 of 2016 as illegal, arbitrary and amounts to refusing to exercise the jurisdiction conferred on respondent No.2.

The Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondents submits that since the grievance is against inaction, the second respondent may be directed to pass orders on the stay petition within two (2) weeks from today The statement is placed on record. The writ petition is disposed of by directing the second respondent to consider and pass orders, as are appropriate, on the stay petition moved by petitioner in Rc.C.S.3 Appeal No.283 of 2016 within two (2) weeks from today. Petitioner is given liberty to communicate copy of this order for expeditious and timely disposal of stay petition. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
