THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.9593 of 2002 ORDER :

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularise the services of the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment and pay the scale attached to the post, as revised from time to time, with all consequential benefits.

Heard Sri P.Lakshmana Rao, learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Higher Education. 3.

It has been contended by the petitioners that they were initially appointed in the second respondent college during 1984 to 1991 and their cases are not being considered for regularisation in terms of G.O.Ms.No.212, dated 22.4.1994. In those set of circumstances, the present writ petition is filed. It has been contended that during the pendency of the writ petition, the services of petitioner Nos.1 to 4 and 9 have been regularised in terms of G.O.Ms.No.38 Higher Education (CE.1) Department, dated 24.06.2002 and as far as petitioner Nos.5,6,7 & 8 are concerned, he contended that the State Government has issued G.O.Ms.No.142 Finance (HR.I-Plg. & Policy) Department, dated 27.08.2018 whereunder a policy decision is taken by the first respondent to extend the minimum of the time scale to the Full-time/NMR/Daily wages/Consolidated Pay/Part-time employees, who were appointed prior to 25.11.1993. Since the petitioner Nos.5,6,7 & 8 have been appointed prior to the cut-off date i.e. 25.11.1993, their cases be

considered for extension of benefit of minimum of time scale in terms of G.O.Ms.No.142, dated 27.08.2018.

The learned Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for the respondents has contended that the cases of the petitioner Nos.5,6,7 & 8 will be considered for grant of minimum of time scale in terms of G.O.Ms.No.142, dated 27.08.2018. 5.

This Court having considered the rival submissions, feels it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioner Nos.5,6,7 & 8 for extension of benefit of minimum of time scale as per G.Os.Ms.No.142, dated 27.08.2018 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
