Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The prayer sought in the Writ Petition is as under: "... to issue an order, direction or Writ more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ (i) declare the action of the Respondent Nos.2 to 4 in issuing the proceedings dated 5.7.2013 that the Petitioner obtained marks less than 20 percentile of successful candidates in the corresponding Board is illegal and arbitrary; (ii) declare that the Petitioner having secured 453 out of 530 marks is within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates of Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, for OBC category and consequently eligible to get admission into IIT course in terms of Para No.3.1 of JEE (Advanced)-2013 Information Brochure; (iii) set aside the proceedings dated 5.7.

2013 issued by the Under Graduate Admission Committee, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and consequently (iv) direct the Respondents to allot the seat in the Computer Science and Engineering (G4110) branch in IIT, Kharagpur or any other seat in the Branch/Institution as per the preference uploaded by the Petitioner." 3.

The main prayer sought in the Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to allot a seat in Computer Science and

Engineering Branch in IIT Kharagpur or any other seat in the Branch/Institution to the petitioner as per the preference uploaded by the petitioner.

The said prayer sought is for the academic year 20132014. Therefore, this Court is of the opinion that no further cause would survive in the Writ Petition and hence, it has become infructuous.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
