THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT WRIT PETITION No.3152 of 2015 ORDER:
On 13-02-2015, at request of learned Government Pleader the writ petition is adjourned to today to enable the learned Government Pleader to get instructions on the alleged inaction of the respondents in taking a final decision on the request of the petitioner for extension of his services for one more year. It is represented that instructions are not received. The admitted facts are that through appointment order, dated 12-11-2010 the petitioner was appointed as Associate Professor in second respondent college. The term expired by October, 2014. As there is no other appointment or permanent recruitment in the post the petitioner was working, the petitioner requested consideration of his case for extension of service by one more year. The petitioner draws the attention of this Court to the favorable consideration meted out to Dr.Sanjay Gawale, Dr. Jyothi Khade and Dr.Alka D.Shinde.
The case of the petitioner is that there is no regular recruitment to these posts and the case of petitioner can be considered.
Having regard to above circumstances, the respondents are directed to consider the request of petitioner for extension of service by a reasonable period within a period of four
(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to him.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
