THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.31374 OF 2016 ORDER :

It is the case of the petitioner that he purchased agricultural land admeasuring Acs.4.30 guntas in Sy.No.389/2, situated at Polepalli Village from one B.Srinivasa Reddy, S/o.Narayana Reddy vide registered sale deed bearing No.235/2015, dated 07.01.2015 and intimated the said fact to the 2nd respondent for mutation of his name in the revenue records. The same was referred to the 1st respondent by the 2nd respondent vide letter dated 29.02.2016. Since the 1st respondent has not given any clarification, further action could not be taken by the 2nd respondent. Aggrieved by the inaction of the 1st respondent, the present writ petition is filed. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, on written instructions dated 19.09.2016, submits that the purchase is against the provisions of Section 3 of Andhra Pradesh (Prevention of Transfers) Act, 1977 and that the proceedings are pending before the 1st respondent.

In view of the same, it is for the 1st respondent to take appropriate action. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the 1st respondent is directed to take further action on the letter dated 29.02.2016 addressed by the 2nd respondent. Thereafter, the 2nd respondent is to pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner, in accordance with law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stands closed.
