The petitioner prays for Mandamus declaring the action of 2nd respondent in issuing the impugned letter dated 24.09.2014 stating that the land of the petitioner situated in RS.No.299/2A of Avanigadda Village, Avanigadda Mandal, Krishna District, is 'Gramakantam', as illegal, arbitrary and without jurisdiction and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to receive, register and release the document alleged to have been presented by the petitioner in respect of land, an extent of Ac.0.03 cents, in RS.No.299/2A of Avanigadda Village & Mandal, Krishna District.

2. This Court, through order dated 06.03.2014 in W.P.No.1339 of 2014 and batch, has considered legality of objection in refusing to register on the ground that the petitioner land is 'Gramakantam' and held that occupied 'Gramakantam' cannot be claimed as property belonging to Government and on such presumptuous approach include the property in the prohibited list.

3. For the reasons recorded in W.P.No.1339 of 2014 and batch, the writ petition is ordered.

4. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
