HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No.14130 of 2015 ORDER:

Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and Sri P.Govind Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent - University.

This writ petition was filed challenging the proceedings dated 03.06.2014 issued by the third respondent - University directing the petitioner - College to collect different amounts, and remit the same to the university account, and an amount of Rs.500/- towards university development fee from first year students is one of them.

It is brought to the notice of this Court that collection of university development fee by the third respondent - university came up for consideration before this Court in W.P.No.2009 of 2015, and this Court, by order dated 25.03.2015, held that the university development fee cannot be collected by the third respondent - university. In view of the same, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent - University submits that the said decision is applicable to the facts of the present case also. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of prohibiting the third respondent - University from collecting university development fee in respect of first year students admitted by the petitioner - College.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
