Dharmender Kumar Goel, v. The State Of Telangana,
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V. SESHA SAI Writ Petition No. 33580 of 2014 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief:
"For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is therefore prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue Writ, order or a direction more particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent No.1 to dispose of the appeal application of the petitioner dated 23-08-2014 in proceedings No.HS6/Arms/683/Charminar/2014, dated 02-08-2014 expeditiously in the interest of justice."
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Home.
By virtue of an order vide proceedings dated 02-08-2014, the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, the 2nd respondent herein has rejected the application of the petitioner for renewal of arms licence, and as against the said order, the petitioner herein filed an appeal before the 1st respondent. The grievance of the petitioner herein is that though he filed an appeal before the 1st respondent as long back as on 23-08-2014, no orders have been passed till today.
The learned Government Pleader for Home, on instructions, submits that a
direction may be issued to the 1st respondent to dispose of the said appeal.
Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner herein dated 23-082014 in proceedings No. HS-6 / Arms / 683 / Charminar/ 2014, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in the writ petition shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. _________________ A.V. SESHA SAI, J.
