HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.46463 of 2016 ORDER:
This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the respondents to consider their cases for assignment of house plots in Tenali Municipality under BSO-21.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue. With their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that, in the month of October, 2016, some persons were assigned house plots within Tenali Municipality, and the authorities are contemplating to assign some more plots to the beneficiaries. He submits that the petitioners' cases may also be considered for assignment of house plots.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue submits that the authorities may be directed to consider the case of the petitioners, if they are entitled and eligible for assignment of house plots, in accordance with law.
Having regard to the rival submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the authorities concerned to consider the request of the petitioners for assignment of house plots in Tenali Municipality, in accordance with law, if they are eligible, fulfill all the requirements and otherwise entitled for the same.
Miscellaneous Petitions pending in this writ petition, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
