THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SRI KALYAN JYOTI SENGUPTA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 7039 of 2015 ORDER: (Per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Sri Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta) By this writ petition notice dated 28.12.2014 has been challenged, whereby a proposal to revise the property tax has been made. The notice itself mentions that if the noticee has any objection to such proposal he/she can make an application. We have heard the learned counsel for the parties. It appears that the petitioner has raised an objection. In that view of the matter, we direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's objection in accordance with law and pass a speaking order after giving notice of hearing to the petitioner. In the event, the petitioner does not appear in spite of notice appropriate order may be passed in her absence. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. Pending such decision, no coercive measures shall be taken. However, the petitioner shall pay the admitted tax.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand disposed of. No order as to costs.
