Today, when the matter is taken up, written instructions furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Lingasamudram Police Station, Prakasam district dated 22.10.2018 are placed on record by the learned Government Pleader. The said instructions read as under:
"The facts of the case are that the 5th respondent Smt.Malli Rama Krishnaveni had lodged a complaint on 26.9.2018 with the 4th respondent Sub Inspector of Police, Lingasamudram Police Station, Prakasam, wherein she stated that her marriage was performed with one Teneeru Venkata Ramana on 8.4.2018 and after the marriage her husband and in-laws harassed for additional dowry. It is submitted that basing on the complaint of the 5th respondent, the 4th respondent conducted counselling but the husband of the complainant or in-laws (petitioners 1 and 2 herein) did not cooperate in the counselling. Later the 4th respondent came to know that the 5th respondent and her husband settled the matter out of police station.
Except receiving the complaint of the 5th respondent, the 4th respondent did not interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners at any point of time. In this regard entry was made into the General Diary. It is submitted that the contentions of the petitioners that the respondents 3 and 4 harassed and assault the petitioners to pay the alleged amounts to the 5th respondent as per the alleged undertaking dated 30.9.2018 executed by the parties by calling the petitioners to the Police Station at the behest of the 5th respondent Smt.Malli Rama Krishnaveni is incorrect, baseless, far from truth and has been created for the purpose of filing the present writ petition. It is incorrect to say that the respondents 3 and 4 called the petitioners to the Police Station on 30.9.2018 and threatened to pay Rs.
2,10,000/- to the 5th respondent or else the petitioners will be implicated in false cases, hence denied.
It is submitted that the 4th respondent did not harass, threaten or interfered with the life and liberty of the petitioners at any point of time".
Having regard to the above, the writ petition disposed of by placing on record the above instructions. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs. ______________ A.V.SESHA SAI, J Date: 24.10.2018 DA
