HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.44462 of 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent not to interfere with the personal life and property of the petitioners.

Heard and perused the material available on record. The case of the petitioners is that they are conducting their caste profession of slaughtering animals, selling beef, bones and leather without there being any complaint from anybody. However, due to the pressures from some persons who are envious about the profession of the petitioners, the 2nd respondent is interfering with their day-to-day activities and insisting them to close their slaughter house.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submitted that the 2nd respondent is not intending to interfere with the business activities of the petitioners.

Considering the circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent not to interfere with the day-to-day business activities of the petitioners. However, this order will not stand in the way of the 2nd respondent to register a case, if any complaint is lodged against the petitioners disclosing cognizable offence. No costs.
