Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents.

Admittedly, pursuant to the recommendations of High Power Committee, vide Lr.No.001/HPC/2016, dated 25.09.2017, the issue is pending consideration before the respondent No.1-Government for the last more than one year. In view of the same, this Court does not find any justification in keeping the issue pending.

Having considered the material available on record, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition, directing the respondent No.1 to pass appropriate orders pursuant to the letter dated 25.09.2017 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
