THE HONOURABLE MR JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No.2486 of 2015

ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for GAD, learned Advocate General, learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

2. The grievance of the petitioner, who is a sitting MLA, is that necessary protocol, which is required to be followed in terms of G.O.Ms.No.348 GAD Department dated 26.06.2012, is not being followed and adhered to by the Officers, who are pointed out in his complaint. The petitioner has brought the same to the notice of the Special Secretary to Government (Protocol) and NRI Affairs under his letter dated 25.10.2014 and also to the Chief Secretary to Government of A.P., but complaining no action is forthcoming on the part of the respondents, the present writ petition is filed.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader, who appeared on behalf of respondents 1 and 2, on instructions, submits that the General Administration Department has already informed the Collector on 08.10.2014 to obtain an explanation from the concerned officers along with a detailed report. It is also stated that the Honourable Speaker of the Legislative Assembly has also called for a report and the same is being placed before the Honourable Speaker. The DO letter was also issued by the GAD to the District Collector, Chittor dated 12.12.2014, to send the

report sought for at the earliest so as to appraise the Honourable speaker.

4. In view of the fact that respondents 1 and 2 have already initiated appropriate steps with reference to the grievance of the petitioner, in my view, no further orders are required in the present writ petition.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
