Heard Sri A.Rama Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development for the State of Andhra Pradesh appearing for the respondents 1 to 5.

2. The petitioner is a Field Assistant.

She was suspended by the 4th respondent-Project Director through

an order dated 18-5-2015 on the ground that she misappropriated the amounts of certain workers in the year 2008. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the order of suspension was passed in respect of the incident occurred in the year 2008 without any basis. In any event, since the order of suspension was passed by the 4th respondent-Project Director pending enquiry, I am not inclined to examine the merits of the said order.

3. The writ petition is, therefore, disposed of directing the 4th respondent-Project Director, MGNREGS, Srikakulam to conduct an enquiry into the allegations levelled against the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of 8 (eight) weeks, failing which the order of suspension, dated 18-5-2015, shall stand revoked. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
