THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO WRIT PETITION No.24260 of 2013 ORDER:

Petitioner had questioned the G.O.Rt.No.1537 Home (Arms) Department dt.11-07-2013 passed by the 1st respondent refusing to restore petitioner's Arms licence and to further renew it. 2.

In the impugned order passed by the 1st respondent, it is stated that petitioner, though acquitted in Crime No.205/2004 of Rein Bazar P.S. which ended in a compromise, later got involved in Crime No.226/2009 of the same Police Station and that the same is pending trial.

It is now brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner has since been acquitted by the XV Additional Judge-cum-XIX Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad on 04-12-2014 in C.C.No.303 of 2014 arising out Cr.No.226 of 2009. 4.

In view of this development, the impugned order is set aside and the 1st respondent is directed to consider petitioner's application for restoration of his Arms licence and for its further renewal keeping in mind the above order passed by the Criminal Court as well. This exercise shall be completed within six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
