O R D E R

The prayer of the petitioner is to release his vehicle Mahindra Scorpio bearing registration No.AP27-M-6498 which was seized by the police authorities.

The Sub-Inspector of Police, Chegunta Police Station, Medak District, furnished written instructions dated 03.02.2016 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that the subject vehicle was seized in relation with Crime No.106 of 2015 which was registered on the file of Chegunta Police Station under Sections 363 and 506 IPC. The petitioner herein was stated to be an accused in the said crime. The seized vehicle was stated to have been deposited before the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Medak, on 13.01.2016. In the light of the afore-stated facts, it is clear that the seized vehicle is now case property in relation to Crime No.106 of 2015 on the file of Chegunta Police Station. It is therefore for the petitioner to move an appropriate application before the learned Magistrate. Reserving liberty to the petitioner to do so, the writ petition is closed.
