THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI Writ Petition No.18902 of 2002 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has expired during the pendency of this writ petition. He also requests that if the deceased-petitioner is entitled to any benefits for the services rendered prior to his removal, the same may be directed to be paid to the legal representatives of the petitioner. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents has also not disputed the same.

This Court, having considered the submissions made by both the parties, feels it appropriate to permit the legal representatives of the petitioner to submit a representation to the respondents within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order for payment of service benefits, if not already paid to the deceased-petitioner, and upon such a representation being received, the respondents shall pass appropriate orders within four weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
