Not satisfied with the compensation awarded, petitioner filed application before the District Collector, Krishna, Chilakalapudi, Machilipatnam, requesting him to refer his case for enhancement of compensation. Alleging inaction on the said application, this Writ Petition is filed.

A copy of the application filed by the petitioner dated 19.10.2015 is placed in the material paper book as Ex.P2 and receipt of the postal department sending the said application by registered post with acknowledgement due is enclosed at page No.27.

Since the application filed by the petitioner is stated to be pending with the District Collector, Machilipatnam, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector, Machilipatnam, to examine the claim of the petitioner and take appropriate decision, as warranted by law, in accordance with Section 64 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.
