O R D E R :
This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking direction thereby directing the respondents to allot the Senior Secondary and Secondary level examinations centre at Nagarjuna Junior College, Nandiyala, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, instead of examination centre at Kendriya Vidyalala, Near Nandiyala Check Post, B.Camp, Kurnool and to pass such other suitable orders as this Court may deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case and in the interest of justice.
2. Heard Sri S. Girimjoi Rao, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Sri Gadi Praveen Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for Central Government representing Sri B.Narayana Reddy, Assistant Solicitor General, for the respondents 1 and 2.
3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that Senior Secondary and Secondary level examinations are going to be commenced from 27/09/2016 to 13/10/2016.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that for the aforesaid relief, the petitioner made representation on 29/08/2016 to the Chairman, National Institute of Open Schooling, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. However, till date there is no response from the Chairman, National Institute of Open Schooling, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
5. Since the schedule for Senior Secondary and Secondary level examinations are going to be commenced from 27/09/2016 to 13/10/2016, the respondent No.1 is directed to consider and dispose of the representation dated 29/8/2016 submitted by the petitioner on the ground that more than 500 students enrolled for Secondary and Senior Secondary Examination from accredition Centre Nandyal, who are poor, women and aged people and they are unable to go long
distance to write examinations and pass appropriate orders within three days from today.
6. Accordingly, the second respondent - Regional Director, National Institute of Open Schooling, 5th Floor, B-Block, Vuda Complex, Siripuramu, Visakhapatnam, is directed to intimate about the direction passed by this Court to the first respondent for immediate compliance.
7. In view of the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. No costs.
8. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
