Heard counsel for the petitioner and the Government Pleader for Higher Education appearing for 2nd respondent. 2.

Petitioner has assailed a show cause notice dt.20.10.2016 issued by the 1st respondent proposing to impose a severe punishment on the petitioner, inviting petitioner's explanation thereto within a period of seven (07) days.

Though counsel for the petitioner sought to question the correctness of the said show cause notice on several grounds, I am not inclined to go into the said issue, since the petitioner can as well raise all those contentions in HIS response to the said show cause notice.

Therefore, without going into the correctness or otherwise of the said show cause notice, this Writ Petition is disposed of granting petitioner two (2) weeks time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to furnish his explanation to the show cause notice dt.20.10.2016 raising all objections available to him at law, which shall be considered by the 1st respondent in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. 5.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in this Revision shall stand closed.
