ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to declare the action of the respondents 1 and 2 in disconnecting the power supply to the petitioner's service connection bearing No.MNT 4490 situated at premises bearing No.7-52/A, Manthani Mandal, Karimnagar District, without any notice, as arbitrary and illegal. The petitioner states that the said property is an ancestral property. He filed O.S.No.16 of 2009 on the file of the Junior Civil Judge, Manthani, against respondents 3 and 4 and the same is pending. He is running a small unit of purified drinking water in a portion of the said joint family property and electricity connection was given to the said unit. He has been regularly paying electricity bills. While so, without issuing any notice, respondents 1 and 2, disconnected the power supply on 16.6.2014. Hence, the present writ petition.

While admitting the writ petition on 19.6.2014, this Court directed the respondents to restore the power supply subject to the petitioner paying regular consumption charges. No counter-affidavit is filed till date.

In view of the nature of relief sought for in the writ petition and the interim granted by this Court on 19.6.2014, no further orders are required to be passed in this writ petition.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. However, it is always open to the respondents to take action against the petitioner in case of violation of law, in accordance with law. No costs.
