HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.38624 of 2018 ORDER:

The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the first respondent in not passing any orders on the representations of the petitioner dated 18.06.2018, 24.09.2018, 12.10.2018 and 20.10.2018 seeking removal of ineligible voters in Mellacheruvu village and Mandal of Huzurnagar-89 Assembly constituency in Suryapet District of Telangana State as illegal and consequently direct the first respondent not to publish final voters list till the disposal of the said representations.

2) When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the proper authority to consider the said representations would be the State Election Commission and not the Chief Electoral Officer of Government of Telangana.

3) Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the State Election Commission, expressing his grievance, in which event, the same shall be dealt with at the earliest in accordance with law. ___________________ C.
